Alliance waters are now open, on the condition that social distancing guide lines are followed. Keep socially distanced from other anglers and other people who may be on the bankside, unless they live in the same household as you, also do not fish within 2 metres of a public right of way (footpath etc)

Please read any posters that the TAA have put up on site and also keep a check on (Angling Trust Guide lines) for the latest advice on staying safe while fishing.


Wydon Burn

TAA members are allowed to fish Wydon Burn free of charge, 6 complementary day tickets are available on any day for TAA members.

Hexham AA is responsible for this 20 peg reservoir following its development by the EA assisted by the TAA, Wydon opened in April 2010 and has developed into a very good place to fish.

Wydon Burn has a depth up to 8ft and has been stocked with Crucian Carp, Perch, Roach, Rudd and Tench.

Juniors fish for free if they are fishing from the same peg as a Senior.
